Providing a quality education for over 100 years
Hilliard Christian School is a safe, warm and welcoming environment for Kinder to Year 10 students. We are planning to add Years 11 and 12 in 2023.
We have a professional and caring staff who are keen to engage with students, families, church and the community. We fully subscribe to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. Hilliard provides exceptional learning opportunities shaped by our Christian values and associated school values of belonging, integrity, respect and perseverance.
Please come and have a talk with us about how we can help contribute to your child becoming a lifelong learner, equipped to be the best they can be.
Hilliard Christian School has provided quality Christian education to the community since 1901. It is situated in a beautiful bushland setting at West Moonah with panoramic views along the Derwent River.
The school cultivates and encourages an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for others, including peers, parents and teachers. There is recognition of differences and affirmation of individual skills, abilities and positive personal attributes. Students are encouraged to do their best at all times and to participate in community and charity projects.
We invite children (Birth – 5 years) and their parents to attend our learning program that will run every Wednesday morning from 10am – 12pm in the Kindergarten. We offer a fun and engaging play-based program including song, dance, art, story-time, outdoor play and imaginative experiences.
Hilliard is a school where students are developed in an environment built around our four key values (Belonging, Integrity, Respect and Perseverance). The school believes that these values are best understood within the framework of a Christian Worldview.
Hilliard Christian School is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and students are encouraged to be involved in various spiritual activities during a typical day. Hilliard has a strong emphasis on Pastoral Care and our team is dedicated to supporting and fostering positive relationships with the members of our community.
