At Hilliard Christian School, we appreciate the role of education in building and equipping our students to be successful contributors in their communities, and to develop a richer understanding of our world. This is achieved through supporting the key eight learning areas, and allowing students to engage, discover, explain and extend their learning.
All registered schools in Tasmania follow and teach the Australian Curriculum and its eight key learning areas. These are English, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, The Arts, Technologies and Languages.
We are a registered school and follow the Australian Curriculum and actively participate in regular audits performed by the Office of the Education Registrar.
The Safe Schools program is not taught by Hilliard Christian School. In contrast, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of bullying, and students are taught Christian principles of self-worth and respect for others.
We invite children (Birth – 5 years) and their parents to attend our learning program that will run every Wednesday morning from 10am – 12pm in the Kindergarten. We offer a fun and engaging play-based program including song, dance, art, story-time, outdoor play and imaginative experiences.
Primary school at Hilliard is from Kindy to Year 6 and our focus is seeing students develop a love for learning as they seek and discover the unique person God has created them to be.
